A king

A king’s fury is a lion’s roar,
his whiskers are wise thoughts;
his claws are like his might in war,
his eyes are orbs, his snout a cross!

His mercy is a gentle purr,
his crown encircles like a mane,
his royal robe is made of fur,
his tail a lengthy train!

To rouse his anger is a risk;
warning signs are growls.
You’d better make your message brisk,
before you’re in his jowls!
