Rhymisms

When you give a dinner,
send for sinners –
people poor, hungry and thinner.
Not your wealthy neighbors, kin, or
men who seem perennial winners,
for prosperous people may invite
you to return the following night
and by such an even trade,
you, my friend, will be repaid.
But the blind, beggard and lame
cannot return a sou,
and so the prey that you shall claim
will one day be well due.
For loving those others neglect,
when the righteous resurrect,
on that date you will collect
the recompense of the elect!
